Zusammenfassung:2014 will be the first year after the crises when European construction output is expected to grow. The recovery stems mainly from building renovation and less from new construction. Also civil engineering performed comparatively well in 2014 with an ongoing increase in the upcoming years reflecting the recent low levels due to austerity measures throughout Europe. On the other hand in 2014 new residential construction will stagnate and non-residential construction will only grow at a minor rate of 0.6 percent in real terms. But the European housing crises seem to have been overcome: predicted growth rates for the coming years are 2.6 percent in 2015 and above in the forecasting period until 2017. The Euroconstruct Summary Report provides a macroeconomic analysis and an overview of the European construction industry by sectors (housing, non-residential construction and civil engineering; new and renovation, respectively) up to 2017.
