Zusammenfassung: | Abstract: The paper presents the results of the evaluation of equal opportunities for women and men of the Austrian National Action Plan for Employment. With the adaptation of the European Employment Guidelines the promotion of equality between women and men at the workplace became more important in Austria and showed the relevance of instruments for their evaluation. The report offers an outline on the evaluation of gender mainstreaming and first results as well as a baseline of the situation of women on the Austrian labour market. The evaluation of equal opportunities mainly focus on qualification measures for unemployed women and improvements for childcare facilities, on the consideration of gender mainstreaming in other policy areas aswell as macro economic effects on employment and unemployment of women. It shows, that the promotion of qualification measures and childcare facilities increases the activity rate of women. Although there remain doubts about the quality and sustainability of many measures.; |
